American Mensa's national convention, the 2009 Annual Gathering, will convene July 1-5 at the historic Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh. More than 1,500 Mensans, their guests and their children have registered to attend the event, which has the theme of "AM/FM." In keeping with the theme, the AG's program features plenty of musical performances and a keynote address by radio icon Dr. Demento. Other program highlights include games, tournaments, tours, dances, seminars and workshops, and lots of socializing in the Hospitality suites. Local membership candidates may sign up for one of two sessions where the Mensa Admission Test will be administered.
