Take the Mensa Admission Test
If you're interested in becoming a member of Mensa, our certified, volunteer Proctors welcome you to schedule a supervised testing session in your area!

The Mensa Admission Test takes two hours to complete and includes two tests featuring questions involving logic and deductive reasoning. If you score at or above the 98th percentile on either of the two tests, you'll qualify and be invited to join Mensa.
Please note that American Mensa cannot test individuals younger than 14 years of age on the test date; however, these prospective members may submit evidence of prior testing to qualify. Also, if English isn't your primary language, American Mensa offers a battery of culture fair, non-language tests.
Further, please note that individuals can only take a test or test battery once unless American Mensa's Supervisory Psychologist provides an allowance for circumstantial reasons. Individuals who have taken a test or test battery and did not meet the requirement to join are encouraged to take another battery or submit evidence of prior testing.
It is important to note that our tests are given for the purpose of admission into Mensa and not to quantify intelligence. A qualifying score indicates that you've tested at, or better than, 98 percent of the general population. American Mensa will release membership qualification only. No further information on test scores will be released.
Our testing fee is $40 (U.S.).
American Mensa's Local Groups host test sessions throughout the year. Get testing information for your area or find out more about the group in your area.
The Mensa Home Test is a great way to help you prepare for the Mensa Admission Test in the privacy of your own home. This test costs $18 (U.S.) and will be scored by American Mensa's National Office.
