2003 Community Activities Program winners

The national Community Activities Program winners were announced during the awards presentation at the American Mensa Annual Gathering in St. Paul.


General Community Category
Southeast Michigan Mensa
Monthly Speaker Program
Southeast Michigan Mensa planned and promoted a variety of speakers at monthly meetings. The meetings were open to the public and press releases were sent out to announce the meetings. Speaker topics included Shakespeare, the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, killer asteroids, police forensics, climbing Mt. Everest and the dinosaurs of Antarctica.

San Diego Mensa
Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair Judging
Members of San Diego Mensa helped judge the entrants in the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. The group also awarded scholarships to competitors. 
 

Gifted Children Category
Minnesota Mensa
Kid’s State Fair
Members of Minnesota Mensa designed and staffed a booth at the Minnesota State Fair. Mensa literature was given out and puzzle tables entertained fairgoers.
