American Mensa Hall of Fame

Sketch of learned sage

The American Mensa Hall of Fame honors individuals who have demonstrated their genius through remarkable vision and accomplishments. Members of the Hall of Fame have given us new insights, opened up new horizons or given us a whole new way of looking at our world. By acknowledging genius, American Mensa seeks to encourage others to be creative and innovative in their thoughts and actions.

Members of the Hall of Fame include Aristotle, Johann Sebastian Bach, Michelangelo Buonarroti, George Washington Carver, Confucius, Nicolas Copernicus, Marie Sklodowska Curie, Charles Darwin, Euclid, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur, William Shakespeare, Socrates and Nikola Tesla.

Mensans nominate candidates who are no longer living and who they feel are indisputable geniuses. Nominees are voted upon by a national panel of Mensan judges and announced during the Annual Gathering.
