January
New Year's Resolutions for Everyone Else

Forget losing the same 20 pounds. If you could change just one thing about another person, Mensa or the world, what would it be, why that one, and how would it make life better?

February
Altruism: Dead or Alive?

Is this honorable trait a thing of the past? Has our modern, high-powered, self-centered world made it more difficult or impossible to give of ourselves unconditionally?

March
The Green Issue

Maybe Al Gore did invent global warming, but everyone seems to be getting on the "green" bandwagon. Let’s talk about hybrid cars, solar and wind-generated power, recycling your garbage, whatever.

April/May
Travel: Day Trippin'

What really great destination is within a day’s drive of your home? Share it with Mensans from other parts of the country.

June
Fairy Tales

Not only for children, they teach us time-honored morals and warn us of evils. What did your favorite fairy tale tell you about life? Was it correct?

July
The Law: Help or Hindrance?

Has their formulation and sheer volume become so micromanagerial that they intefere with our day-to-day lives? Would fewer laws be better? What would you change?

August
Advertising

Unrelenting, inane, stupid, ineffective. The commercials aired during the Super Bowl are great, but some of the other advertising we’re exposed to during the year — both in print and on TV, radio and the Internet — can be accurately called stupid, inane, offensive and more as they prey on our perceived inadequacies. What’s good and what’s bad about this aspect of corporate America?

September
"I used to be ___, but now I'm ___."

What significant changes have you made in your appearance, lifestyle or attitudes that have bettered (or worsened) your life?

October
Motion Pictures/
Television

Have these major sources of persuasion and entertainment skewed too far to the left/right? Or do we take them far more seriously than we should? Beneath the tinsel, is there anything but more tinsel?

November/December
Potpourri

Like the title says, a mixture. The collection of articles we get each year that are too good to pass up, but just don’t seem to fit into any theme issues.
