ARLINGTON, TEXAS, Dec. 14 2015 — Chicago Area Mensa will host the annual Mind Games® competition April 15-17, 2016. Mind Games is one of the leading board showcase competitions in the United States and attracts Mensa members from across the globe. This year, the coveted Mensa Select® designation will be up for grabs at the Westin Chicago North Shore in Wheeling, Ill.

The annual Mind Games event allows manufacturers to put their new-to-market games to the test as Mensa members play and rate each title. Members of the high IQ organization play innovative games, judging them on aesthetics, instructions, originality, play appeal and play value, and then cast their ballots and comment cards. On the final day of the event, votes are tallied and five games receive the honor of bearing the Mensa Select® seal. Winners will be announced on Sunday, April 17. Entries are currently being accepted at mensamindgames.com.

The 2015 Mensa Select winners are:

  • Castles of Mad King Ludwig,” Bezier Games, Inc.

  • ‘Lanterns: The Harvest Festival,” Renegade Game Studios and Foxtrot Games
  • “Letter Tycoon,” Ad Magic/Breaking Games
