Proctor of the Year awards
In honor and recognition of Dr. Abbie F. Salny's years of service as American Mensa's Supervisory Psychologist, two awards were established in 2000.
The first award, the Proctor of the Year, is awarded annually to outstanding Proctors. Best known as the Abbie, the award is given to members who are ambassadors of Mensa, make test sessions enjoyable, test regularly, show originality about testing and are conscientious Proctors.
The second award, titled "The Dr. Salny Award for Outstanding Service in the Area of Testing," is awarded to a person or Local Group exhibiting exceptional service in the area of testing. These awards are given by the Salny Awards Committee. Regional certificates may also be awarded.
Nominations for these awards are accepted each January through April. Contact the Salny Awards Committee Chair for more information.
