Take Our Practice Test

Putting humans in space isn’t about exploration or national pride; it isn’t even about science. It’s about survival. A species that can look past short-term costs to the long-term benefit wins. It wins in the only way the universe cares — by staying alive.

It began with my sixth great grandfather, once a deputy sheriff of Frederick County. There, during the American Revolution, he formed and outfitted a militia company to support the war effort. Almost 250 years later, in August, our story came full circle with my visit to a grave in the French capital containing soil from Bunker Hill.

Three hundred Mensans and their guests — tabletop enthusiasts all — travel cross-country to review the year’s best new-to-market board games. Just five are awarded the coveted Mensa Select® seal. See which games made the cut.

With pride, we celebrate these Local Groups and volunteers within our ranks that continue to go above and beyond to make American Mensa grow and thrive. Inside, you’ll find our 2019 national and group award winners.

Driving at night can be more than challenging — it’s also one of the most dangerous times to be behind the wheel. Nearly half of all vehicle passenger fatalities in the United States occur at night So, how do you know what kind of car headlights are right for you?

For five days each summer, Mensans gather for food, fun, and fellowship. The Annual Gathering is a time to make new friends and to rekindle old friendships. Relive the fun in photos, and of course, tag yourself! (Photography by Sandy Marak)
