Achieving Communications Excellence

The Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) program allows Local Groups with any level of publishing, Web or social media experience, regardless of size or budget, to be recognized for their efforts. ACE transforms the Publications Recognition Program (PRP) into a more robust program that also reflects modern communication standards and methods.

The first "Editor of the Year" award was presented in 1971. Over the next forty years, the program became the Editors' Awards, the Local Group Newsletter Award program, and then the Publications Recognition Program. It provided hundreds of awards in recognition to dozens of Local Groups and Mensa members.

The goal of ACE is to continue to recognize Local Groups that meet or exceed communications standards in newsletters, websites and social media. Communications excellence is not the role of any one individual in a Local Group, thus the program recognizes groups rather than singling out individual editors, webmasters or writers.

For more information on this program, please contact the ACE Chair.
