Same general format as in 1975.  Meredy Mullen, editor of Boston Mensa’s Beacon (formerly entitled B.O.M.B.) won the Owl Award.  Special Mentions went to the Arkansas Newsletter for “Most Improved,” La Plume du Nom for “Editorial Excellence,” Tampa Bay Sounding for “Best New Newsletter,” and Isolated-M for “Outstanding Service & Quality”.  Other awards were:

The first award relating to Local Group newsletters was made in 1971.  The award was for “Editor of the Year” and was presented to Wayne Hawley, editor of Graffiti, the newsletter of Cleveland Mensa.
