Land a Spot on Jeopardy!

Journey begins with online quiz, then interview at AG

Jeopardy board

Interested in nabbing a spot on Jeopardy! and proving your intellectual mettle to Alex Trebek? Officials for the popular game show will be in attendance at the 2016 Annual Gathering in San Diego (June 29 - July 3) to interview potential contestants. Before securing an interview, however, prospective challengers must first pass an online quiz.

The Jeopardy! Adult Online Test will take place at the following times:

  • Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. Central time
  • Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. Central time
  • Jan. 28 at 10 p.m. Central time

Interested adults can go to jeopardy.com to sign up.

Registration closes two hours prior to the test start time. The test login opens 60 minutes prior to the start of the test, and organizers encourage you to log in at least 30 minutes ahead of time to avoid any last-minute confusion. You will see the countdown clock when you are successfully logged in.

The Online Test consists of 50 categories and clues. After being shown each category, you will see the clue and will have 15 seconds to type your response. Unlike on the show, you will not provide responses in the form of a question. When the time is up, anything you have typed into the answer field will be captured and submitted.

You will receive an email reminder the day prior to the test, but go ahead and mark your calendars now.
