“How do you test a person for intelligence?” The question implies many further questions, from simple ones to those with layers of definitions, one of which is: What is intelligence?

This is a slightly edited copy of Wil's prepared remarks for our Mensa Annual Gathering. These remarks are meant to be heard and performed, so some of the nuance may be lost in the text.

The Mayans were correct in predicting the end of the world. On Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, the Interstate Bakery Company, dba Hostess Brands, announced it was ceasing operations. It was the end of the world as many had known it. Or was it? Let’s start at the beginning…

This group of future leaders will travel to the 2016 American Mensa Annual Gathering and the European Mensa Gathering to present workshops on their leadership experience and innovative ideas that have helped their own Mensas grow and thrive.

American Mensa saw a small drop in members at the conclusion of its 2015-16 fiscal year but begins 2016-17 up considerably from the same time the previous year.

Local Groups are required to provide each fiscal year’s financial activity, with the reporting period being April 1- March 31. This critical information enables American Mensa to report properly to the Internal Revenue Service.
