It can be tough to be the smartest kid in the room, and Mensa provides wholehearted understanding and support from the local level through the national level. There is also a support network for parents and teachers of gifted youth.

This primer covers a number of useful topics, including dues rates, governance and policies, and short descriptions of our available publications. It also includes information about Mensa written by other members so that you have firsthand knowledge of what to expect.

Sponsored by the Mensa Foundation, Mensa for Kids provides educational and challenging games for Gifted Youth, lesson and activity plans for teachers and parents, and activities designed to stimulate intellectual growth.

The Mensa Foundation strives to benefit society by inspiring and empowering intellectually gifted people. The Foundation provides scholarships, recognizes and awards accomplishments in research and facilitates educational outreach, especially for gifted youth.

American Mensa provides graphic files of our logos and banners for use on Local Group, regional and Special Interest Group websites. Additionally, current Mensa members may utilize these logos provided they adhere to the Name and Logo Standards listed here and the pertinent ASIEs regarding name and logo use.
