The idea behind Mensa Cares! is to encourage local groups across the country to plan coordinated community service events highlighting Mensa's positive contribution to the areas and neighborhoods where our members live.

Maryland Mensans collect refuse along Assateague Island
Maryland Mensans participate in an ongoing citizen conservation project on Assateague Island where they pick up trash along the bayside. The refuse collected was donated to the Art League of Ocean City for its November exhibit, "Reimagined Art."

Alaska Mensa highway clean-up
Alaska Mensa participated in the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce's Clean Up Day on a sunny 41° F Sunday morning. Members opted to clean up the area in the city along the highway, where cleanup was really needed. They filled 13 garbage bags!

Western Washington worked with Stewardship Partners to restore natural plants and habitats along the Snoqualmie River and Ames Creek, which is a key salmon spawning location.
