Spring has Sprung Photography Contest

The Young Mensan Spring has Sprung Photography Contest, showing us what Spring looked like around the country, elicited the greatest number of submissions of any contest we've run. We're excited to announce the winners!
All entrants will receive a certificate of participation, along with comments from the judge, and will be featured in YM2 Magazine.
- Under 6 Division: LeAnne L., age 5, Southwest by South Florida Mensa. The judge selected LeAnne's image for its true beauty, sharpness, and creation of a sense of wonder.
- Animals: Elena M., age 6, Fort Wayne Mensa. Elena's image was chosen for its unique view and the way it spoke to the potential in life.
- People: Jatin K., age 11, San Francisco Regional Mensa. Closeness and and interesting perspective set Jatin's image apart.
- Creatively Altered: Ava D., age 12, GLAAM. Ava's image was chosen for the its effective and subtle use of color change, as well as its detail.
Our Landscape category attracted the largest number of submissions by far, and the judge selected first, second, and third place winners in this category.
1st Place Landscape: Zachary F., age 12, Vermont Mensa. The judge selected Zachary's image for the unique vantage point, as well as the use of splashes of color and texture.
2nd Place Landscape: Anson M., age 7, Lubbock Mensa. The judge felt that Anson captured a great moment and a definitive divider between blue sky and storm.
3rd Place Landscape: William C., age 13, Thomas Jefferson Mensa. William's image demonstrated a strong sense of perspective and forethought.
