Pleased to see me
Mensa was nothing like what I expected. I walked into my first gathering, and my life was never the same after. People of all sizes, shapes and genders were warm and welcoming and seemed genuinely pleased to see me. They were happy. They were excited. A feeling slowly came over me: I belonged. And I liked this long-lost family of jokesters and punsters and nonstop jabberers.
