The high-IQ organization expects an estimated 2,300 members to attend

ARLINGTON, TEXAS, June 17, 2016 — San Diego is the destination for the largest annual global gathering of Mensa. This longtime tradition attracts both national and international members. Past gathering destinations include Fort Worth, Texas; Reno, Nev.; and Boston, Mass. Next year’s destination is Hollywood, Fla.

Each year, more than 250 seminars on a diverse set of topics are presented. This year topics include the history of comic books, implications of reversing aging cells, robotics, and ocean conservation. The event will also feature keynote speaker actor/author Wil Wheaton; cyber security expert and inspiration behind CBS’s TV show “</SCORPION>,” Walter O’Brien; plus the finals of the international intelligence competition, HIQORA.

The Gathering is closed to those who are not members of Mensa. The public is invited to participate in the American Mensa testing sessions. The official Mensa Admission test battery is the first step to qualifying for membership into the largest high-IQ organization in the world. Plus, all test takers will receive a one-day admission to the 2016 Mensa Annual Gathering. Test sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, and Saturday, July 2.
