1979 — Richard Amyx, Publications Officer
In 1979, William Fusselman, editor of San Diego Mensa’s Mensan won the Owl Award.   Jenny Brown, editor of Southwest by South Florida Mensa's M-Compass received a Special Mention was awarded for “Best New Newsletter”.  Other awards were:

1978 —  Richard Amyx, Publications Officer
In 1978, Linda Ann Loschiavo, editor of Greater New York Mensa’s M-Phasis won the Owl Award.  A Special Mention award went to Kris Kurian, editor of Greater Cleveland Mensa’s Graffiti, for “Most Improved.”  Other awards were as follows, with 2nd and 3rd places listed under the winners:

Same general format as in 1975.  Meredy Mullen, editor of Boston Mensa’s Beacon (formerly entitled B.O.M.B.) won the Owl Award.  Special Mentions went to the Arkansas Newsletter for “Most Improved,” La Plume du Nom for “Editorial Excellence,” Tampa Bay Sounding for “Best New Newsletter,” and Isolated-M for “Outstanding Service & Quality”.  Other awards were:
