ARLINGTON, TX, June 27th, 2014 – Mensa members will celebrate the 4th of July with more than 2,500 of their fellow Mensans at this year’s American Mensa Annual Gathering.

This year’s event happens in Boston, Mass., at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, July 2 - 6. This five-day event is an opportunity for members of the high I.Q. organization to connect with colleagues and friends. This longtime tradition attracts both national and international members. This year’s theme is Brilliance in Beantown. Past gathering destinations have included Fort Worth, Texas; Reno, Nev.; and Orlando, Fla.

More than 250 programs will be offered with a wide array of speakers and subjects including the science of attraction, forensic studies, fraud prevention and marital rights.

The event is closed to those who are not member. However, the public is invited to participate in the American Mensa testing sessions. These testing sessions allow test takers to experience the official Mensa Admission test battery and discover whether or not they qualify for membership into the largest high I.Q. association in the world.  Plus, all test takers will receive a one-day admission to the 2014 Mensa Annual Gathering.

The American Mensa testing dates are:

  • Wednesday, July 2, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.in the Hampton Room at the Boston Sheraton.
  • Saturday, July 5, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Constitution Room at the Boston Sheraton.
