British Mensa: A New Time of Alliance: What Indigenous Knowledge Can Teach Us About the Future of Humanity and the Future of Our Planet
- No group assigned
- October 1, 2026
In January 2026, Benjamin De Loenen and Joshua Bloom travelled to Davos alongside Chief Biraci Nixiwaka Brasil Yawanawá, bringing an Indigenous perspective into conversations taking place around the World Economic Forum. Their mission was part of a broader effort to build what they call a "New Time of Alliance", creating genuine relationships between Indigenous knowledge holders and the institutions, thinkers and decision-makers shaping the modern world.
In this talk, De Loenen and Bloom will explore what happened when these worlds came together, why this dialogue matters, and what modern society might be missing by placing so much emphasis on technological and intellectual progress while overlooking other forms of knowledge developed over thousands of years.
The talk is free for members to attend. The Zoom link will be sent to all registrants the week commencing 28 September.
