MENSA BULLETIN RECEIVES ASSOCIATION TRENDS AWARD

ARLINGTON, TEXAS (2/14/11) — American Mensa’s magazine, the Mensa Bulletin, received the silver award for “The Most Improved Magazine or Journal” in the Association TRENDS’ 2010 All-Media Contest. Association TRENDS is a national newspaper for association executives and suppliers. The Bulletin staff will be honored at the Association Trends 32nd Annual Salute to Association Excellence, February 16, 2011, at the Capital Hilton in Washington D.C.

The Mensa Bulletin, the national magazine of the high IQ society, is published 10 times a year, written mostly by members, and designed to foster discussion on prominent topics of the day. Popular features include "Looking at Language," written by well-known author and member Richard Lederer, "2% Solution," which allows members to explore issues facing the world, and "SuppleMentally," which highlights the latest advances in science and medicine. The Association TRENDS All-Media Contest is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the most creative and effective communication vehicles developed in the industry over the prior year. The 2010 competition included more than 470 entries in 27 categories of association communications. The winning entry will be on display at the 2011 Salute to Association Excellence event and was featured in the January issue of TRENDS.
