Mensa Executive Director, Pamela Donahoo, Receives Distinguished Executive Award

Arlington, Texas, October 7th, 2011, — American Mensa’s Executive Director, Pamela Donahoo, CAE, received the 2011 Distinguished Executive Award at the annual conference for the Texas Society of Association Executives.

Donahoo has served as the Executive Director of American Mensa since 1997.  Her work allows her to manage and develop the future growth of Mensa with a focus on increasing testing and membership, as well as creating a greater value of membership for a national organization of more than 57,000 members. This month, she goes to Sofia, Bulgaria for the Mensa International Board of Directors Meeting, where she joins volunteer delegates representing the United States as one of the 44 participating countries in Mensa International.

Donahoo is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives and a member of the Austin Customer Advisory Board.  She has served as the vice chair for both the TSAE and the American Society of Association Executives, president of the Dallas - Fort Worth Society of Executives, and has been a member (and past president) of the Richland Band Boosters.  She earned her Certified Association Executive designation in 1992.
